The night oppresses us
With her creeping veil of uncertainty
Avoiding dead trees from another time
We walk into the stench of the swamp
With a wooden effigy on its hands
a figure emerges from the dark
Pronouncing concealed words
Insanity is talking through a humanlike mouth

Possessed by some aged wrath
The figure turns into a convulsing mass
Devouring one of us, sucked into the slime
An unspeakable substance absorbed by the earth

Overwhelmed in horror we saw
The formless shade disappears in its vapor
Now all we see is an archaic stone icon
I’ll carry the burden, enchanted by an obscure call

I can see some ancient signs
Sea routes to reach another land
Unnamed spirits visit my dreams
They teach me to read the purposes of old

Rise up, Cthulhu
I’m travelling incessant to admire your power
My life vanishing into shadows
Dreadful majesty, ruler of all

An old man warned me
Not to defy the spell of the waters
Our puny understanding cannot envision
Within this repugnant haunting grandeur

My last fragments of sanity
Now intertwined with the ocean breath
Hundreds of days have passed
A magical reef I saw on the horizon

Rise up, Cthulhu
I’m exploring the confines of your exalted realm
Becoming one with madness
Overpowering deluge of rapture

Far beyond the coasts we walk
Going frantic, deep into the unknown
We finally reach a hidden valley
Away from perception
Surrounded by granite towers
Monoliths of indecipherable forms
All pointing at a mount of dirt

We are all submitted to your primeval slumber!!!

We came back in a wide awake nightmare
In trance, struck by a blinding light
A portal rises up to the skies
Its gates, born and dead like the moon
Now the entire world dissolves

We are engulfed by the absolute darkness
Conquered by silence we only see
a distant shining in the infinity of the void
The portal appears dressed in stone
Out of the dark, your unleashed ruin

The gates are open!!!

As a giant sea beast, we see you standing high
Your cephalopod eyes pierce our minds
All of us swarmed into your disgusting hurricane
Swallowed by the hollow of your jaws

The light is back, I am alone in a desert
Only sterile horizons around me
In human form, standing in emptiness
Holding the archaic stone icon

Rise up, Cthulhu
I’m whispering in your ancient code
Uttering yells of dementia and pain
Drained out by your hideous supremacy
