Heterodontosauridae Pretty essential listening in a progressive minded death metal form. This band has been around a while but seems to be making the rounds only recently. Which is a crime against humanity because holy fuckballs does this album not fuck around. Riffs for days backed up by a really ethereal and dark sound. Lovely fucking stuff. A must listen. Favorite track: Beyond Time and Memory.

gaiusfolk astonishing melo-death, proves the genre has a right to exist. Favorite track: Gilgamesh.

jokineaugustus Wow this is incredible. Every instrument sounds much beefier than on the original, and on top of that the songwriting is phenomenal. I'm gonna need to listen to Transfigured soon.

Nagelfared Incredible album. The remaster is punchy and bright. It's melodic, dissonant, and an entrancing.

Originally released in 2008, "Converging Ages" is Inanna's debut album of monolithic death metal. Hailing from Santiago Chile, Inanna is a powerhouse death metal band which plays music inspired by the likes of bands like Morbid Angel, Hate Eternal, Mithras, Cynic, and Atheist.

Blending slow heaving riffs of brutality with Azagthothian LAVA, and the progressive leanings of classic 90s progressive death metal a la Human era Death, Inanna spares no ounce of brutality. The songs are transcendent, beautiful, and utterly heavy.

An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names. Bertrand Marchal
